Electrocardiogram

The ECG is a test that records the electrical activity of the heart.

The purpose of the ECG is to assess :

  • Heart rate
  • The existence of ischaemia
  • The existence of congenital heart problems
  • Exclude hypertrophy of the heart muscle


Conduct of the examination :

Lying on a table, the recording lasts 1 to 2 minutes using electrodes that are placed on the chest.
